JESUS CAN DO ANYTHING (3)

Memory Verse : “And the power of the Lord was with Jesus.” Luke 5:17, NIV

Jesus’ power is amazing.

Catching Fish • Luke 5:1-7

After Jesus stands on Peter and Andrew’s boat to teach a crowd, Jesus tells them to row out so they can go fishing. Peter tells Jesus that they have already tried but caught nothing. But because Jesus says so, Peter and Andrew throw out their fishing net again, and Jesus does something only He has the power to do. Peter and Andrew catch so many fish that the net almost break!

1. Why do Peter and Andrew don’t believe that they can catch more fish?

“They have been fishing for a long time but didn’t catch any fish.”

2. What happens when they obey Jesus?

“They suddenly caught so many fish that the net almost break.”

3. What is one story you can share with your friends about how Jesus can do anything?

Jesus can do anything because He is very powerful. He wants to use His power to help people who need help. He can help the poor to have food to eat. He can help those who are very sick to get better. He can help you not to be afraid when you are feeling afraid. Jesus wants to help because He loves us.
