Jesus can do amazing things.

Jesus Feeds the 5,000 • John 6:1-14

A crowd follows Jesus because they know He can do amazing things. Jesus wants to feed the crowd, but there is over 5,000 people! Philip knows they don’t have the money to feed them. Andrew offers a boy’s meal of 5 small loaves of bread and 2 small fish. Jesus takes the bread and fish, thanks God for it, and gives over 5,000 people as much bread and fish as they want! There was even food leftover.

1. What food does Andrew manage to find to feed the people?

“He only manages to find 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish from a boy.”

2. What does Jesus do to with the bread and fish?

“He causes them to increase in numbers, enough for everyone to eat.”

3. What are the things that Jesus has provided for you at home?

Jesus knows our needs. He will give us food to eat, clothes to wear, a house to live in, friends to play with and a family to love. When we don’t have what we need, He will give it to us. He can help the poor people too. Just as He uses the little boy to generously gives up his bread and fish, Jesus can use us to help those who are in need. He can do anything.
