God has good things for me to do.

Adam and Eve • Genesis 1:27-28; 2:15, 19-20

When God made the world, He put Adam and Eve in a beautiful garden. God brought each animal to Adam and asked him to give them names. God wanted Adam and Eve to take care of the garden and everything in it including plants and the animals, and grow food in the garden. God gave Adam and Eve good things to do. God wanted them to take care of the world He made.

God asks Adam and Eve to take care of the garden because He wants them to care for what God has made. God wants us to also care for this earth. This is an important thing to do. If we don’t care for our world, you will see lots of rubbish on the floor. Trees will not grow well and the air that we breathe will be very smelly too. God has good things for us to do, to care for what He has made.
