GOD IS GREAT AND MIGHTY! (3)

God uses little people to do big things. 

David is picked to be King • 1 Samuel 16:1 – 13

God asked Samuel to look for the new king that God has chosen. He told Samuel to go to Jesse. Samuel looked at seven of Jesse’s sons and he thought one of them would be king. But God said no because God looked at the heart, not how the person’s look. Samuel asked if Jesse had any more sons. Jesse said he has one more, which is little David. And God told Samuel that David was the one chosen to be king.

1. Why didn’t God choose Jesse’s seven sons as king?

“God looked at the heart and not how the person’s look.” 

 

2. Who did God choose to be the next king? 

 “God chose David to be the next king.“

 

3. What is one big thing that God can help you do?

If God can do big things through the young boy David, He can do big things through you too. God can use you to help a sad someone be happy again, or share your snacks with your friend who is hungry, or tell someone about Jesus so that this person can know God too. God can use anyone to do big things.
