God heals Naaman • 2 Kings 5:1-15

Naaman was a strong soldier, but he had sore spots on his skin. A little girl told him, “Go see God’s helper, Elisha!” Naaman went, and Elisha said, “Wash in the river seven times.” Naaman didn’t like that—it sounded too simple! But his friends said, “Try it!” So Naaman washed, and guess what? He was all better! Naaman was so happy. He said, “Now I know—only the God of Israel is the true God!”

1. How did Naaman feel about washing himself in the river?

 “He didn’t like it because he thought it was ridiculous.” 

 

2. What happened when he obeyed Elisha?

 “All the sore spots on the skin were gone!” 

 

3. What is one thing you want ask God for help?

Naaman was sick, but God made him well. God is powerful and can help us when we’re scared, sick, or sad. If you feel scared at night, you can pray, and God will hear you.   

Just like Naaman had to trust Elisha’s instructions, we can trust what God says in the Bible, even if it seems simple or strange. When Mommy or Daddy says to pray before eating, we obey because God loves when we talk to Him.
