GOD LOVES ME (8)

Memory Verse – “A joyful heart is a good medicine.” Proverbs 17:22 ESV

I can have joy when I see what God has made.

Joy in the Psalms • Psalms 8 and 19

King David loved to write songs to God. He wrote joyful songs because he saw many things that God made gave him joy. When he looked at the sun, moon and stars, he was amazed at God’s creation and wrote songs to praise Him. He also looked at all the people in the town and amazed at God’s love for everyone. So he wrote songs about God’s love and care too. Every time he saw what God has done, it gave him joy.

1. How did David feel when he saw what God has done?

“When he saw what God has done, it made him very joyful.”

2. What did David do when he was joyful?

“When he was joyful, he wrote songs to God.”

3. What songs would you like to sing to God when you are joyful?

We can have joy all the time because God is very good to us. He cares for us and will help us all the time. We can have joy even though there are so many things to clean up in our rooms. We can have joy even though dinner is served late and you’re very hungry. We can have joy because there are so many other good things that God did for us.
