GOD LOVES ME NO MATTER WHAT (8)

God’s plans are always best. Joseph and the Grain • Genesis 41–45

The king of Egypt had a dream and didn’t know what it meant. He heard that Joseph can understand dreams. After listening to the dream, God helped Joseph to understand it. So he told the king to save food for seven years. After that, there will be no food for the next seven years. The king then put Joseph in charge of saving the grain for food. After saving grain for seven years, there was enough food for everyone in the next seven years, including Joseph’s family. He even forgave his brothers for treating him badly. He trusted God’s plan for him even though it was hard.

Questions

1. Who helped Joseph to understand the king’s dream?

” God helped Joseph to understand the king’s dream.”

2. What happened when Joseph trusted God?

” There was enough food for many people for seven years.”

3. What good things can happen if you trust God’s plan for you?

God has good plans for everyone. But sometimes trusting God for His good plans can be hard. We may think that God will always give us good weather so that we go out and play. But when it rains, we may feel disappointed and wonder if God is still good. However, rain is good for farmers to grow their plants because without it, their plants may die. We can thank God for His plans even though we don’t understand everything.
