Jesus says to love like Him.

Early Church • Acts 2:42-47; John 15:12; Hebrews 10:24

Jesus tells his friends to love people the way He loves them. So, the early church did what Jesus says and loved like Him. If someone needed a coat, a person would share their coat. If someone needed a place to stay, a person would share their home. If someone needed food, a person would share their food. The early church ate, talked and prayed together. They loved each other because Jesus loved them.

1. What did Jesus ask his friends to do when someone is hungry?

“His friends can love like Jesus by sharing their food together.”

2. Why should we love like Jesus?

“When we love like Jesus, we shine His light so that everyone can see.”

3. In what ways could you love like Jesus at home or kindergarten?

Jesus wants us to shine His light and love like Him. If someone is hungry, we can share our snack with them. If your friends don’t know how to make a craft, you can help them make it. If they are feeling sad or crying in Sunday School class, we can stand next to them and tell them not to be sad. Jesus wants us to love like Him. This is how we shine His light.
