Jesus can help me do everything (2)

Jesus can help me choose joy. Paul and Silas in Prison • Acts 16:16-34

Paul and Silas were good friends and they loved to tell everyone about Jesus. But bad people put them in jail because they didn’t like Paul talking about Jesus. The jail was a terrible place but Paul and Silas chose joy by singing praises to God. Then suddenly there was an earthquake and the jail door flew open. Paul and Silas walked out and told the guard about Jesus. The guard received the joy too when he asked Jesus to be his friend.

Paul and Silas show us that we can choose joy instead of complaining when we don’t get what we want. Sometimes we get angry with our brothers and sisters, or ever parents because they don’t play with us or give us things we want. Jesus wants us to choose joy. He loves to hear us sing praises to Him with joy.
