JESUS IS ALIVE! (1)

Palm Sunday • Matthew 21:1-11, 15-16

Jesus was coming to the city of Jerusalem and everyone was so excited! Some people held palm branches and waved them in the air. They were all ready to celebrate. Jesus was riding a donkey on the path. When the people saw Him, they waved their branches and said, ‘Hosanna! Hosanna! YAY, JESUS!’ The people were so excited to celebrate Jesus because Jesus is so special!

1. Why did the people get so excited?

“They got excited when they heard about Jesus coming to town.”

2. What did the people do when they saw Jesus?”

“They waved their branches and said, ‘Hosanna! Hosanna! YAY, JESUS!’.”

3. How would you want to celebrate when you know Jesus is special?

We have special celebrations for special people on special occasions. For example, we have birthday celebrations for special people who are born on certain dates. Or we celebrate Christmas because it is to celebrate the birth of Jesus. We can celebrate Jesus anytime because He is special all the time. We can sing praises or go for a special dinner. We can make cards to tell how Jesus is so good and special. We celebrate Easter because He is alive!
