Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever (4)

An Angel Helps Peter Escape from Prison • Acts 12:1-19

Jesus’ friends were going around the city to tell everyone about the good news of Jesus. But King Herod didn’t like what they were doing. So he told some soldiers to put Peter into jail. Peter’s friends were worried but they prayed to God for help. Later that night while Peter was sleeping in the jail, an angel appeared and told Peter to follow him out of the jail. So Peter did just that. His friends were amazed. Jesus helped Peter because He is Peter’s friend forever.

3. What is one difficult thing that you can ask Jesus to help?

Jesus wants to be our friend forever. He can help us when we need His help. He can do things that no one else can do. When we are sick, He can make us well again. When we are afraid, He can be by our side so that we don’t have to be afraid. When bad people want to hurt us, He can protect us. He can do all these because He loves us and wants to be our friend forever.
