GOD LOVES ME NO MATTER WHAT (7)

I can trust God’s plans even when they are hard.

Joseph’s Journey • Genesis 37; Genesis 39–40

Joseph has ten brothers. They didn’t like him because he had a beautiful coat from their father which none of them got. Joseph also kept talking about the dreams he had and his brothers were getting tired of hearing. So they threw him into a deep hole and took his coat. It was hard for Joseph but he trusted God’s plan. His brothers then sold him to be a servant in Egypt. He had to work hard. His master liked him but soon he was thrown into a prison for something bad that he didn’t do. It was hard but he still trusted God’s plan for him.

Questions

1. Why was it hard for Joseph when he was in Egypt?

“He was a servant and was thrown into prison for something he didn’t do.”

2. What did he do when it was hard for him?

“He kept trusting in God’s good plan for him.”

3. Can you name 1 good plan that God has for you?

God has good plans for you. But it doesn’t mean that everything will go according to what we want. Sad things may happen to us like falling sick or your friends are not willing to share their toys with you. Or that you can’t go to the playground to play because it was raining. It is hard and frustrating. But God still cares for us and will make sure everything will turn out good even when we don’t see it. We can trust God’s good plan for us.
