JESUS IS ALIVE! (4)

Great Commission • Matthew 28:19-20

In our Bible story today, Jesus was talking to His friends, the disciples. He gave them a very important job to do. Jesus told them to GO and TELL everyone, everywhere the good news that He is alive and wants to be their friend forever. They can tell their uncles and aunties, their friends and even those that they don’t know. They can tell those who are staying in the same town as them, or in a faraway place. Everyone should know that Jesus is alive.

Questions

1. What was the important job that Jesus wanted the disciples to do?

“They were to go and tell everyone that Jesus is alive.”

2. Why did Jesus want them to tell everyone that He is alive?”

“Jesus wanted everyone to know that He can be their friend forever.”

3. Who can you tell that Jesus is alive and can be his/her friend forever?

Jesus is our best friend. He wants to give us this job too – to GO and TELL everyone that He is alive and wants to be their friend forever. We can tell our grandparents who do not know Jesus yet. We can tell our neighbours or our friends in the kindergarten. Or we can tell the people who clean the streets. Jesus is alive and He wants to be our friend forever.
