God can help me be brave (5)

Memory Verse“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid for the Lord your God goes with you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

God can help me do brave things.

Miriam • Exodus 2:4-10, 15:20-21

Mirriam has a baby brother named Moses. At that time there were bad people who wanted to hurt little baby boys. To protect Moses, her mother put him in a basket and hid him amongst the tall grass on a river. Mirriam stayed and kept watch over Moses. Then a princess came by to the river and saw baby Moses. Mirriam was brave enough to talk to the princess so that the princess can help to take care of Moses. By this, Moses was kept safe for a long time. God also helped Mirriam to be brave by getting her to talk to God’s people to follow Moses. At another time too, Mirriam led God’s people to sing and praise Him with tambourines.

3. What are some brave things you can do to help others?

Helping others is a very good thing to do. But sometimes we may not know how to do it or unsure if we can really do it. God can help us. He will give us ideas and help us to be brave to do it. When Christmas comes, we can start to invite our friends and relatives who do not know Jesus, to come to our church’s Christmas celebration so that they can hear about God.

We can be brave because God can help up to be brave.
