God can help me be brave (4)

Memory Verse – “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid for the Lord your God goes with you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

I can be brave and trust God.

Queen Esther • Esther 2:21–8:17

Queen Esther loved God and her people. Haman however, didn’t love God and he had a plan to do something bad to Esther and God’s people. One day, he made a plan that would hurt God’s people. Esther knew about it and was troubled. She wanted the king to help but a special invitation was needed for anyone to see the king. She was afraid. But she also knew that God will help her. So she asked her people to pray for her for 3 days. Esther then went to see the king, who was happy to see her. She told the king about Haman’s plan and the king got angry. So he stopped Haman from planning to hurt Esther and her people. God helped Esther to be brave.

1. Why was Queen Esther troubled?

“She was troubled to hear of Haman’s plan to hurt her and God’s people.”

2. Why was Queen Esther brave enough to meet the king for help?

“God helped her to be brave and her people prayed for her too.”

3. What is one thing you want others to pray for you, to be brave to do to what is right?

Prayers are so important and powerful. When we pray, God hears and will answer. If we pray for God to help us to be brave to do what is right, He will help us because doing what is right pleases Him. When we are afraid, we can pray to ask God to help us. We can also pray for others so that they can be brave to do what is right. We can be brave because God can help up to be brave.
