I Can Thank God for Everything

Memory Verse – “Always give thanks to God.” Ephesians 5:20

I can thank God for my family.

Ruth, Naomi and Boaz • Ruth 1 – 2

Naomi was sad because her husband and sons had died. Only her two daughters-in-law were with her. She decided to go back to her home town. One of her daughters-in-law, Ruth, wanted to follow Noami where she would go. Naomi was so happy to have her family member to go with her. When they reached Naomi’s hometown, they took care of each other. A man name Boaz worked nearby in a barley field. When he found out that Ruth and Naomi were part of his family, he took care of them too. God sent more family to take care of the two women.

Questions

1. Why was Naomi happy as she prepared to go back to her hometown?

“She was happy because Ruth was willing to follow her.”

2. Why did Boaz want to take care of Naomi and Ruth?

“He helped because he found out the women were part of his family.”

3. Who are part of your family members?

We have people we call family too, like our parents, siblings, grandparents, aunties, uncles and even cousins. They are always there to talk, play, care for and work with us. When we are sick, our parents are there to take care of us. We can also help to take care of others too when we are a family. God gives us family so that we can love and care for each other.
