JESUS CAN DO ANYTHING (1)

Memory Verse : “And the power of the Lord was with Jesus.” Luke 5:17, NIV

Jesus can calm a storm.

Calming the Storm • Matthew 8:23-27

While Jesus and His disciples are in a boat, a huge storm comes. The disciples are terrified. Jesus, however, is sleeping quite peacefully. The disciples frantically wake Jesus up. Then they watch Jesus do something they did not expect. Jesus tells the storm to stop . . . and it does! The disciples are amazed and think, “Who is this? Even the wind and waves obey Him!”

Questions

1. What is Jesus doing when the storm hits the boat?

“Jesus is sleeping in the boat when the storm comes.”

2. How is Jesus able to tell the storm to be still?

“Jesus has the power to do anything.”

3. Name a few things that Jesus can do, which you can’t.

Jesus can do anything because He is very powerful. He can make the sick well again, the blind to see again and cause the thunderstorm to go away immediately. He can do it because He is God. Nobody is more powerful than Him. We can trust Him to take care of us. We are safe in Him.
