Memory Verse : Be kind and loving to each other.” Ephesians 4:32, NCV

Care For One Another

Good Samaritan • Luke 10:25-37; Galatians 6:2

One day, Jesus told everyone a story about a man who was walking down the road. A few bad men suddenly jumped out and hurt him. They took his money and left him there. He really needed help. Later, an important man walked past but didn’t stop to help. A second man also walked past but didn’t help. But a third man stopped to help. He cleaned the hurt man up and brought him to a safe place to get better. After the story, Jesus asked everyone, “Who is a good friend and cared for the hurt man?”

Questions

1. What did the bad men do to the one walking on the road?

They hurt him and took all his money.

2. What did the third man do to the one who is hurt?

He cleaned up the wounds and put him in a safe place to get better.

3. How can you care for your friends who are feeling sad?

Jesus tells the story to teach us that we must care for others in the same way. We can care for our friends when they fall down. We can care for those who are feeling sad by giving them a hug. We can care for those who are hungry by giving them cookies to eat. We can care for our younger brothers or sisters by holding their hands when they are afraid. We can care for others just like Jesus
