GOD IS GREAT AND MIGHTY! (5)

God sends Elijah food • 1 Kings 17:1-16 

It hasn’t rained for a long time and there is no food to eat. God tells Elijah to go to a town and find a woman there who has food for him. Elijah finds her, but she only has enough four and oil to make bread for her and her son. Elijah tells the woman that God says her flour and oil will not run out. The woman trusts God and Elijah, the woman and her son had food every day because the flour and oil did not run out. It was a miracle!

1. Why was the woman sad?

“She only has enough food for herself and her son.”

 

2. Why were there enough flour and oil after a while?

“They trusted God who will provide all the food they need.” 

 

3. Name all the food that God has given to your family to eat.

God knows what you need and He will provide. You have bread and cereal for breakfast. You have noodles or rice with vegetables and meat for lunch and dinner. Some of you may have supper too. God will make sure we won’t go hungry because He can take care of all things. We can thank God for everything.
