Daniel in the Lions’ Den • Daniel 6

Daniel loved God and prayed to God three times a day. But some other people tricked the king into creating a new law that said no one could pray to God. But Daniel still prayed to God. When the people saw Daniel praying to God, they ran and told the king, and the king threw Daniel into the lions’ den. But God was with Daniel in the lions’ den! God sent an angel to close the lion’s mouths. Daniel was saved because he followed God’ way.

1. Why was Daniel thrown into the lion’s den?

“He refused to pray to other gods except the one true God.”

2. Why wasn’t he hurt when he was with the lions?

“God protected Daniel because he followed God’s way.”

3. What is one thing your parents want you to do today to follow God’s way?

God’s way is always the best. Sometimes you may want to do the things that does not make God happy like throwing tantrums and disobeying your parents. Or you may want to hit back at your friends who made you angry. But those are not God’s way. Do what is right to follow God’s way.
