God can help me be brave (3)

Memory Verse“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid for the Lord your God goes with you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

I can be brave and trust God.

Daniel and the LionsDaniel 6:1-23

Daniel loved God and prayed to Him every day. He worked for a king called King Darius who liked Daniel. But some people were jealous of him. So they thought of a way to get Daniel in trouble. They knew that Daniel prayed to God every day. So they tricked the king into making a new rule, that said that everybody can only pray to King Darius and not to other gods. Whoever disobey, will be thrown into the lions den. The king agreed. But Daniel continued to pray to God, and so the people told the king about it. Daniel was thrown into the lions den to be eaten. But Daniel was brave because he knew that God would help him. And God did – the lion did not eat him. He was saved.

Questions

“He loved God and only wanted to pray to Him.”

2. Why didn’t the lions eat Daniel?

“God did not permit the lion to eat Daniel, so saving him.”

3. How can praying to God helps you to be brave?

Nobody wants to get into trouble. But sometimes people do mean things to us. They may say bad things to hurt us. We may get afraid or angry and want to get back at them. But God wants us to trust Him, that He will help us. He wants us to be brave instead of being afraid or getting angry. He wants us to be kind to others even though they do wrong things. We can pray to God for help and He will surely help up. We can be brave because God can help up to be brave.
