God Gave Us Jesus (1)

Memory Verse – God tells Mary she is going to have a Son, Jesus.

The Angel and Mary • Luke 1:26-33, 38

God has an important message for Mary. He didn’t send a letter or call her on the phone. Instead, God sent an angel to tell her. Mary was very surprised and a little scared. But the angel said, “Do not be afraid Mary. God says you are going to have a baby, and you will call Him Jesus.”
Jesus will be so special because He is God’s Son.

1. How did God send Mary a message?

2. What was the message about?

“The angel told Mary that she was going to have a baby who will be called Jesus.”

3. What is Jesus so special?

Christmas is coming. It will be a special celebration with presents, songs, food, fun and family time. But what will make it even more special is Jesus. He is God’s Son. God gives us Jesus as our very best friend because He is so special. It is so good to begin Christmas with the story of God giving us Jesus.
