God Gave Us Jesus (2)

Memory Verse – God tells Mary she is going to have a Son, Jesus.

Jesus Is Born • Luke 2:1-7

After the angel appeared to Mary and told her that she would have a son called Jesus, she and her husband Joseph travelled a long way to the town of Bethlehem. But they couldn’t find an inn to stay. So they had to spend the night where the sheep were. There, Jesus was born and placed on a manger. He wasn’t born in a fancy place, but Jesus is special because Jesus is God’s Son. God loves us so much He gave us Jesus!

“Jesus wasn’t born in a fancy place but in a place where the sheep were.”

3. What does the day when Jesus was born reminds us of?

Jesus was finally born! Though no one knows the exact date when He was born, everyone in the whole world celebrates His birth as Christmas day. It’s a time for us to remember that Jesus comes to us to be our best friend. It’s a time to thank God too for His great love. That is why we want to tell all our friends that Christmas is a time to thank God for giving us Jesus.
