GOD IS GOOD (2)

I can thank God for food. Elijah and the Widow • 1 Kings 17:7 – 16

Elijah was very hungry. He had no food or water. God told him to go to a woman who will give him food. Elijah found her and asked for water and bread. But the woman only had a little oil and flour left to make the last meal for herself and her son. Elijah said that God will provide all the oil and flour that she needed. So, she went home and made the last piece of bread for Elijah to eat. Then amazingly, God provided more oil and bread for the woman to make more bread for herself and her son. God is good.

God is good. All the food that we eat comes from Him. He will make sure that we will have enough food to eat every day. He will not let us go hungry because He cares for us. When we have enough food to eat, God would also want us to be kind and share our food to those who are poor and hungry, so that they can have food to eat too. If we do this, we are showing God’s love to everyone. We can thank God for food.
