Aaron and Hur help Moses • Exodus 17:8 – 13
One day, the enemies came to attack Moses and the Israelites. But Moses knew that God will help them. He lifted his staff up above his head when they were fighting. But soon his hands got tired, he began lowering the staff. Whenever the staff was up, the Israelites were winning. However, when the staff was lowered down, the enemies were winning. So God sent Aaron, Moses’ brother and Hur to help lift Moses’ hands up during the battle. By this, the Israelites won the battle.
