Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego

I can live for God • Daniel 3:10 – 28

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego loved God. However, king Nebuchadnezzar did not love God. He built a giant gold statue and told everyone that when the music was played, everybody must bow down and worship it or else they will be punished. The three young men chose to live for God and was thrown into the furnace of fire. But then the king saw another person in the fire. God sent an angel to protect the three young men. They knew that no matter what happened, God loved them.

Questions

1. What did king Nebuchadnezzar do?

“He built a big statue and told everyone to bow down to worship it.”

2. Why didn’t Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego obey the king?

“They chose to live for God and worship Him only.”

3. How can you live for God everyday?

We can live for Him everyday by choosing to do what is right. We can do that by reading the Bible and do what it says like obeying your parents, being kind to friends by sharing your toys and saying kind words to one another. If someone tells you not to go to church, you can choose not to listen to him and go to church instead. You can live for God everyday because He loves you.
