GOD MADE ME TO HELP OTHERS (2)

The Four Friends • Mark 2:1-12

One day Jesus was teaching in someone’s house. A huge crowd came to hear him speak. They were inside and outside the house. Four people came carrying their friend on a mat because he couldn’t walk. They knew Jesus could help their friend. But because of the crowd, they couldn’t get inside the house. So, they went to the top of the house and dug a big hole in the roof. Then they lower their friend down for Jesus to see. When Jesus saw this, He did a miracle by asking the man to stand and walk. The man immediately stood up and walk! The four friends did what God made them to – to help others.

1. Why couldn’t the four friends enter the house?

“It was so crowded with people that they couldn’t get in.”

2. How did the four friends manage to help the person who couldn’t walk?

“They made a hole in the roof and lower their friend down to Jesus.“

3. What can you do to help your friends at childcare or kindergarten?

We can be like the the four friends who went all the way to help their friend even though it was difficult. You can call your friend who is sick to pray for him or her, when you can’t go to visit. We can do so many things to help others because God made us to help others. When we help others, we’re loving them just like how Jesus would.
