I Can Thank God for Everything (3)

Memory Verse – “Always give thanks to God.” Ephesians 5:20

I can thank God for food.

Manna and Quail • Exodus 16

After Moses led God’s people out of Egypt – which was A LOT of people – they all began asking him for food. There was just one problem. There was no food. None. Not one bite. But God did what only God can do and provides meat at night and bread in the morning. So the people had enough food to eat. The people thanked God for giving them food.

Questions

1. Why were the people being unhappy about?

“They were unhappy because there was no food.”

2. What did God do then?

“God gave them meat at night and bread in the morning.”

3. What is your favourite food?

Every day we have food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We even have snacks anytime we want, and different types of fruit to eat too. God gives us food to eat. We will not get hungry because God cares for us and He knows we need food to eat. As we eat, we should give thanks to God because He gives us food to eat.
