JESUS GIVES US JOY (1)

Memory Verse – “I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.” Luke 2:10, ESV

Jesus helps us have joy.

Wedding at Cana • John 2:1-11

Jesus, His mom Mary and His disciples were guests at a wedding. During this time, the servants run out of a special wedding drink. Jesus’ mom went to Jesus for help. Jesus did something only He can do and turned six huge jars of water into the special wedding drink. Now, everyone could continue celebrating the bride and groom. Jesus gave the people at the wedding joy.

Questions

1. What went wrong during the wedding?

“They ran out of the special wedding drink.”

2. What did Jesus do to give the people joy?

“He turned the water in six jars into the special wedding drink.”

3. How would you want Jesus to give your parents joy?

Jesus wants to give us joy because He cares deeply for us. It might not be by always giving us nice gifts like toys. He can give us joy by giving us good friends to play with. Or He can help us get better when we are sick. Or He can help us to be kind to the poor people. He wants to give everybody joy.
