Young Jesus in the Temple • Luke 2:41-52

Jesus told a story about a man who was hurt by bad men and left on the road. He needed help. Two men walked by but didn’t stop. Then a third man came, helped him, cleaned his wounds, and took him to a safe place. Jesus asked, “Who was the good friend who cared for the hurt man?”

1. What did the bad men do to the one walking on the road?

“They hurt him and took all his money.”

2. What did the third man do to the one who is hurt?

“He cleaned up the wounds and put him in a safe place to get better.

3. How can you care for your friends who are feeling sad?

Jesus tells this story to teach us to care for others. We can help friends when they fall. We can hug someone who is sad. We can share food with someone who is hungry. We can hold a younger sibling’s hand when they are afraid. Jesus wants us to care for others like He does.
