Jesus wants to be my friend forever (1)

Our friend Jesus is always with us.  Walking on Water • Matthew 14:22-33    One day, Jesus asked His disciples to go to the other side of the lake on a boat. After some time, a storm came. It rocked the boat so hard that the disciples didn’t know what to do. Just then, they saw someone walking on the water towards them. They were very afraid until they saw it was Jesus. He called out to Peter. Peter got out and walked on water too. But once he saw the storm, he got afraid and began to sink. Jesus reached out and pulled him up again. Jesus didn’t leave the disciples alone.

Questions

1. What happened while the disciples were on the boat?

“A storm came and rocked the boat very hard.”

2. Why did Jesus walked on water towards them?

“Jesus did not want to leave the disciples alone.”

3. What are some amazing things that you know only Jesus can do?

Jesus is always a friend to anyone. He will talk to us and care for all who are sad. We may be afraid of the dark or will scream when we see a lizard. But Jesus will stay with us all the time so that we call to Him anytime. Just like how He will hold Peter’s hand when Peter is afraid, Jesus will always hold our hands.
