God can help me be brave (2)

Memory Verse“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid for the Lord your God goes with you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

I can be brave because God is with me.

David and Goliath • 1 Samuel 17:1-50

David was a shepherd boy. He knew that he can be brave with God’s help to protect his sheep from wild animals. One day he visited his brothers who were in the army. There was a big man called Goliath from the enemy’s side and he said mean things that frightened God’s army. But David wasn’t afraid because God was with him. So he challenged Goliath. With a sling shot and 5 smooth stones, he slung a stone towards Goliath. The stone hit Goliath on the head and knocked him over. So that day God’s army won the battle against the enemy. David knew he can be brave because God helped him.
