God knows what’s best for me (2)

Moses and the Sea • Exodus 13:17-18; 14

Pharoah was the king of Egypt and he did bad things to God’s people, the Israelites. He made them do hard work with little rest, for a long time. He also refused to let them leave. God saw that his people needed help and He sent Moses to make Pharaoh let His people go. So, Moses led the people to the Red Sea. The people can choose to go back to Egypt or follow God’s way. Well, they followed God’s way. Because they did that, the sea parted for them to cross over on dry path to the other side. After that, the sea closed back so that Pharoah and his army cannot cross. God knew what was best for the people.

Questions

1. What did Pharoah do to God’s people?

“Pharoah made God’s people do hard work with little rest.”

2. Why did God send Moses to His people?

“God send Moses to help His people to come out of Egypt.”

3. Who are some people that God will send to help you?

God knows what’s best for us. We can choose His ways or do what we want. When we choose God’s ways, everything will turn out well but if we do what we want, things may not turn out well. We want to eat lots of sweet candies but God knows this is not good for us. It is not healthy. We want to play the whole day and not want to help our parents with some housework. This is not good for us because we can get lazy. We follow God’s ways because He knows what’s best for us.
