God knows what’s best for me (4)

Memory Verse – “God…knows everything.” 1 John 3:20

Naaman • 2 Kings 5:1-14

Naaman was an army officer. But he was sick – he had a skin disease, and no one could help him. A young girl who worked for him, told him that Elisah could help. Elisah loved God and wanted to help people to follow God too. He heard that Naaman needed help. So he asked someone to tell Naaman to dip in a river for seven times. He had a choice – to do it or not. But he finally decided to trust God. So he dipped in the river seven times and when he got out, his skin disease was gone! He learned that God knew what was best for him.

Questions

1. What did Elisha tell Naaman to do?

“Elisha told Naaman to dip in a river for seven times.”

2. What happened after Naaman dipped in the river for seven times?

“His skin disease was totally gone.”

3. What was the best thing that happened because you obeyed God?

God knows what’s best for us. We always have a choice to do what God says or not do. We may think that what we want is better than what God wants us to do. But because God knows all things and is smarter than anyone, we can believe that He knows what’s best for us. He knows that if we go to school every day instead of staying home to play, we can get smarter. He knows that if we eat more fruits and vegetables instead of candies, we will get healthier. God knows what’s best for us and it is good to choose to follow Him.
